SYNTHETIC HAIR EXTENSIONS MAINTENANCE

We love when our things can last for a really long time especially when it makes us feel so glam. Here's everything you need to know to help you keep your hair pieces last for as long as they can!

SYNTHETIC HAIR EXTENSIONS AFTERCARE
  • Brush before and after each wear with a wide tooth comb. For styles like our 26" Mermaid waves ponytail, we recommend just using your fingers as a comb to maintain it's chill volume. Remember to brush starting from the bottom section, then mid section, and then up to the top weft. This way, You can easily remove the tangles on the bottom part of the extensions and work your way up after it's all tangle free down there. Brushing your synthetic pieces from top to bottom may cause fiber breakage just like split ends on your natural hair so we don't recommend brushing it that way.
  • Wash your hair pieces occasionally or if they’re dirty. We don’t recommend frequently washing your hair pieces. Just wash them when you absolutely need to!

  • Store hang your hair extensions or ponytails on a clip hanger so it can prevent from tangling.

WASHING

Yes, you can wash your synthetic pieces and the style will remain the same! Whether your extensions is made of 100% Remy human hair or our special fibers, washing it is a must. 

  1. To start, make sure to brush and detangle your Glamlize hair extensions/pony. Hold the weft area with one hand and soak it under cool running water.
  2. Use a shampoo and lather her with your other hand using circular motions with your fingers throughout the hair until clean. DO NOT RUB
  3. Rinse the shampoo and apply a good amount of some moisturizing conditioner or hair mask. For best results, leave the conditioner or hair mask on for about 5 to 10 minutes. (You can also leave it on overnight!)
  4. Rinse the hair under cool running water until silky smooth. Lightly detangle any knots with fingers.
  5. Squeeze excess water, then lay on a dry towel and LET IT AIR DRY ONLY.

WARNING: Do NOT blow dry your hair pieces! Doing so may result in damage to your hair extensions (and we hate damaged hair). Air dry your hair for best results. 

HEAT RESISTANCE

Our hair extensions has heat resistance up to 160 degrees Celsius. Keep in mind that our hair extensions are pre-styled, and heat styling them would permanently remove their original textures. You can use straightener to straighten the style but they are NOT suitable to be completely re-styled into a new style like curly, wavy, etc.

Note: Can you dye the synthetic hair extensions? Unfortunately, the answer is NO. Since they are made of pre-colored fibers, you cannot dye the fibers with hair color.
